One of the many ways we can support the ministries of Christ Church is through prayer. Check out our Prayer Wall to see how you can be specifically praying for each ministry as well as individual requests that are submitted by those in our community.
WORSHIP & PRODUCTION
Are an experienced* musician (instrumentalist or vocalist), with a heart and desire to worship God and encourage the church body with your musical skillset. (*Experienced as a musician, not necessarily experienced in worship music.)
Are willing to learn the technical skills to lead worship from “behind the scenes”/off stage.
AND
Are comfortable with the basics of computers and have attention to detail.
OR
Have experience with live sound production/mixing (or have interest in the area with a knack for quick learning in the technical arena).
OR
Have interest in helping make our web-stream/video capture happen to serve our online members and guests. (No experience necessary!)
HOSPITALITY TEAM
Are organized, responsible, cleanly, detailed, a team player, and physically capable to lift and set-up/clean-up.
Love serving and helping.
Appreciate aesthetics and health.
Your schedule doesn’t allow for consistent availability, but you could plan to be available for special events.
AND
You enjoy a behind the scenes role to serve our community through setup
OR
You enjoy expressing yourself through creativity with aesthetics or food preparation and service.
WELCOME TEAM
Love people and possess charisma, warmth, and kindness.
OR
Can lift up to 30 lbs and can easily follow setup/tear down instructions!
KIDS MINISTRY
Love meeting and connecting with people.
Enjoy having fun.
Want to see children come to know God intimately and understand His purpose for their lives.
Enjoy creating welcoming and inviting spaces where people can be themselves.
Like learning new things.
Are primarily available on Sunday mornings but could, on occasion, be available other days of the week.
Are currently working to deepen your relationship with God and be more like Him.
Childcare
(*These are paid positions*)
Our childcare workers provide a safe and engaging space for kids to have fun while their parents attend church sponsored events (i.e. MOPS, Celebrate Recovery, Women's Bible Study, GriefShare, Alpha Classes etc.).
Have experience caring for a wide age range of kids (11 and under).
Can plan and execute a variety of age-appropriate activities for kids 11 and under.
Are available on weeknights, Saturdays or Sunday afternoons.
Want to help create welcoming and inviting spaces.
Thrive with structure and systems, but know how to adapt and think creatively when needed.
MOPS
You have a passion for creating spaces for moms to be refreshed and supported in their motherhood journey.
AND
You have administrative skills.
OR
You are able to move chairs, tables, etc to set a space for the women who come.
OR
You have a heart for outreach and can coordinate efforts within our group.
OR
You can create (very simple) spaces for moms to connect outside of main gatherings.
Women’s Bible Study
You have a desire to see women grow in their knowledge of the bible and in connection with one another.
AND
You are a friendly, welcoming presence.
OR
You are able to move chairs, tables, etc. to set a space for the women who come.
OR
You have a heart for preparing refreshments (coffee, tea, water weekly and food at special gatherings).
OR
You have a heard for outreach and can coordinate efforts within our group.
Youth
Have an interest in working with Junior High and/or High School students and are available to attend the weekly Wednesday Night Youth Group.
OR
Are willing to lend resources periodically to serve this team and our students!
young adults
Enjoy engaging and welcoming new young adults.
Are available to help with Thursday evening setup (6pm) and tear down (9pm).
Are between the ages of 18-28.
OUTREACH
Love to meet new people and love different cultures or want to become more aware of them.
OR
Have a strong desire to serve and be engaged in your local communities.
OR
Have a desire to practice hospitality and compassion through different events & hosting people at a home or the church.
Gidley School
You enjoy working with kids.
You have a heart for helping those in under-resourced communities.
You can be available for one hour a week during school hours.
Facilities Team
Are a handy person and have skillsets/ tools that you would be willing to utilize for church maintenance and care.
OR
Love gardening/ landscaping and have knowledge and experience in that area.
OR
Have resources (tools, trucks, trailers, etc.) that you would be willing to make available.
